I live in Fairbanks Alaska and wanted to have a "wash-station" for my dogs and bike with warm water.
Since I made great experiences with another Camplux Propane-on-demand-system for my sauna-cabin, I ordered this one here and it works absolutely fantastic.
The included pump creates a nice pressure from my rain-barrel and the water gets super quickly hot: even warm enough for me to have an outdoor shower in 40°F!
Only one suggestion for improvement: the water-intake hose should come with a small filter attached to protect pump and heater. I "McGyvered" something myself but it would be great if it would come with something from the factory.
Built an outdoor shower at our cottage, which we live at year around. When everyone comes to visit over the summer months, having an extra shower that has hot water is great! Easy install, great water pressure, and plenty of hot water. Hooked it up to my garden hose and it was ready to go!
Great shower! Saved us at 2 campgrounds that had scary shower facilities. My wife was even impressed with it and thankful we had it on our East coast camping trip. I love that it came with a pre-wired on/off switch and everything worked great!!!
It's simple to install and easily taken down again. We didn't have a warm shower at our cabin but now we do. We are still learning and we realize it probably takes a little practice to know how to regulate temp and water flow to have even water temperature. But overall, very impressive.
Works great with one minor leak going into the unit from the cold water Inlet. I added some plumbers tape to the connection which helped but there is still a small drip. Otherwise the heat and pressure are perfect!!
This unit delivers hot water. It’s easy to set up and was just what we wanted. The only downside is the hose for the shower spray is just too short. We will replace this before we go camping next. Other than that it’s the trick!!
After building a mount for the shower to fit on my vehicle, I initially had an issue with the pump not drawing water reliably, and I was concerned because of an overland trip coming up within a week. I went through the typical RMA back-and-forth with Camplux, and they went the extra mile to get me a replacement pump within about 48 hours so I would have the device for use on the trip. Great service, and they really delivered. Here's a handy tip--if you're only drawing from drinking water containers, this will easily get water more than hot enough for morning coffee and cooking. We purchased this unit and took camping in Maine. We used a 15 gallon water tank and had hot water in no time at all. It was easy to mount inside our Jeep with Velcro straps then mount outside the vehicle when in use.
This is great for camping. The hose to the shower head is a bit short, I simply added a few extra feet to accomplish what I needed. Lowest heat setting and maximum water flow provides a great temp for a shower. The heat can be turned to max and the water flow to min and it produces scalding hot water, great for adding to some cold water for washing dishes etc.. highly recommend this product.
This was a great purchase worked in the pinch we where in a little small but will work when we go camping and make a great addition to our home made camp trailer.
This is by far the best product that I have purchased for camping. Once it was set up it was a breeze to use. The water gets very warm. The showers at the end of the night before sitting by the fire were amazing.
I finally got around to hooking this up for a camping trip. I wired the pump up to accept a 12v accessory socket attached the hoses and install the 2 D batteries for the ignitor. I have to say this thing works well! Anything off the lowest heat setting is too hot but it will work perfectly for a quick shower at a campsite and heating water for dishes in the tent trailer.

Easy set up and working well. Don’t worry about the gpm rating. Even at its lowest setting, there is plenty of flow. A 7 gallon jug allowed for a very long hot shower.
So far so good. One use in. Customer service was very responsive. Mine came in with a kinked propane hose due to shipping. They replaced it the same week. I was able to use it beachfront after surfing 55 degree water for hours. I was so thankful for a convention portable device. Looking forward to many more opportunities to put it to work.

Very pleased with this unit so far. I was a bit concerned it wouldn't deliver water hot enough to really enjoy a shower. It does and delivers it almost immediately.
I bought this unit for my off-grid cabin. I'm using a 12 volt car battery to power the pump and a twenty pound propane bottle for fuel.
If I were to make a recommendation, it would be to put an on/off switch in-line between the battery connection and the pump. Other than that, I couldn't be happier.

The essential type (AY132 & AY132B) does not draw water by itself as it does not have a built-in pump. You will need a pressurised water source to feed water into the unit. Consider our Complete Pump Pack
To drain the device properly, please open the drain stern at the bottom right of the water heater, turning in a counter clockwise direction. Disconnect all incoming and outgoing water lines to ensure proper drainage from the water heater.

Camplux Camper Kit has an adjustable water flow rate between 2.5-6 LPM (0.6-1.6 GPM). So, if you want a 5-minute shower, you will use between 12.5-30 litres (3.3-8 gallons) of water.
The unit was designed for portable outdoor use. It is splash-proof and can manage a little drizzle, however, prolonged exposure to rain/water will damage the internal components. We recommend our Pro Series which can install a weather-proof rain cap and has larger flow rate (from 1.58 to 5.28 GPM).
