having an horse rescue and struggling with carrying hot water jugs down to the barn has been huge PITA till i found this water heater. we absolutely LOVE IT and the water is hot almost immediately when you turn it on. We turned a muck cart into our water heater cart which makes it super easy to take it whatever we need it.

Love it! Very easy to install works like a charm! I show dogs so grooming is an all the time part of the job. I was reluctant to try this my standard poodle has a lot of hair and I need good pressure to get the soap out, it worked so good! Highly recommend for bathing dogs. Wish I would of gotten way sooner. I do wish the shower hose was a bit longer but something I can fix overall it’s a great product.

I am VERY happy with this heater. It's super easy to setup. It's way more effective than my previous "portable" propane water heater. This unit can be left outside, though they do mention you should cover it when not in use. I fill my clawfoot bathtub on the porch (don't judge!) to take piping hot baths. One caveat: The shower handle doesnt have an on/off switch for water flow. The only way to turn water on/off at your spigot. I added an inline brass water-hose on/off switch at the base of the heater where the hose attaches, then attached the hose to that. You may want to order both or plan to use the main water spigot. Also... my previous, smaller, heater would have it's flame blown-out every other day or so. This one has yet to be blown-out. It seems to stand up to a much stronger breeze!

Works great! Power kicks on after you have water running to it, I use it out outdoor shower in a property I Airbnb, and all the visitors love it! I use it for the kids too, if they get too dirty playing outside I tell them to go rinse off before coming inside.

I was very pleasantly surprised - this was trivial to install and it worked great right off the bat. It heats up FAST, putting out hot water in just a few seconds, and the flow rate is great. I put a few stainless screws on the exterior wall of my cabin to hang this on, and it's easy to just lift it off to put it away when not in use.

I use this heater to proved an outside hot shower at my off grid cabin. What a game changer! Previously I'd comeback from 3 days working and be a sweaty mess, now I can have a hot shower when ever I want! My set up is simple. I have a 275Gal water tote and that is pumped to the shower via a small 110V transfer pump. Pros: simple to setup and it has all the adapters to convert the UK pipe thread to US pipe thread/hose quick connect. It uses very little propane which is nice! It can also get the water good and hot, in summer mode I can take 10C (50F) to a max of around 50C(122F), I flipped it to winter mode and it can get that hot with the dial only turned 1/3 - 1/2 the way. Cons: The controls are a little finicky. I'm not 100% sure what the water dial does, but if I turn it beyond half way the heater clicks off??

Customer photo review of Camplux Tankless Water Heater for RV 1.58 GPM With Pump Kit

I have to be honest, when I purchased this unit I didn't expect it to last more than a year and was sure I'd never get a response from anyone if the time came for customer service. That couldn't be further than the truth. I've had this heater permanently installed outside to use next to our spa and it has treated us well for a little over 3 years now. So I gave tech support an email and they replied immediately with some very helpful tips. Then to my surprise they actually called me to discuss some options. I hadn't even asked them to call. They ended up shipping me a new ignition unit. I should also mention I have purchased 2 of the smaller units for 2 campervan builds we did and they have been great as well. I highly recommend these units if you're using them for 1 time camping to a permanent outdoor water heater that you don't want to hard wire into the home's electrical. Also if it helps, as I wasnt sure about size, the 10L model even during winter will never be turned more than half way as it will burn you. We have a large shower head and half way on the water valve is more than enough. I probably could have got away using the smaller model for the house but I think this is an appropriate size as it's not being maxed out all the time.

Customer photo review of Camplux Tankless Water Heater for RV 1.58 GPM With Pump Kit

I purchased this to use in the RV only when we were at full hook ups. I place it on a stand we built and hook the hot and cold water onto the low point drains of the camper. We can now take hot showers as long as we want and don't have to wait for the hot water to heat up before the next person goes in. Heats up very fast and accurate every time so far. Only issue is the temperature gage is only in Celsius but once you learn your number it's very easy to set. The shower head that comes with it is also very nice and was a big upgrade from what we had in the camper. It does work while running the pump from the tank but the pump runs continuously due to me changing the shower head and using more water but it does work. Haven't used it yet for anything else around the house. Plan on hooking it to the power washer soon. This can get very very hot coming out of the faucet so make sure you learn the settings before any one starts using it.

My husband set this portable system up for me to give the standard poodles a warm bath. Also purchased the portable raises dog tub. They love the warm bath. Have even used this to add hot water to the hot tub. Great foe washing large dogs, horses etc.

Unit heats up quickly, has lots of water pressure. Make sure you have o ring seals on all connections or you will have a leak. They are supplied but I missed one initially. I did add quick release fittings and an on/off valve to the unit. The on/off valve is because you cannot turn off the water from the unit itself. I added the quick releases to make it easier to connect the hose and disconnect it for other uses in the garden and shop. After a while of use I'll write a further review of what I think. Future edit. After 2 years of using this, I found out what the big issue with this is: cheap regulator. I bought a new low pressure gas regulator from AMAZON and it's so much better. It fires up every time and does not shut off. The upgrade gas regulator I bought from AMAZON was about 14$ If you buy one of these new, just buy a better regulator for it right off the bat. For portability, and ease of hanging, use 2 small carabiners and 1 large carabiner. See image. I honestly love this thing.

Customer photo review of Camplux Tankless Water Heater for RV 1.58 GPM With Pump Kit

I truly love this thing. I use it for an outside shower during the summer when ever i can in my back yard, but also when i go camping and riding my 4 wheeler ATV. It puts out the heat, with really good water flow through the supplied shower head and it has different adjustments for your pleasure. I had to learn the Celsius scale which is a good thing. I welded a tubular frame around the unit to keep it off the ground, hold it up right, and protect it should it fall using 1/2" electrical conduit. LIKE THE MANUFACTURER STATES DO NOT GET IT WET OUT IN THE RAIN. The TEMP display goes nuts. I had a little trouble with the water fittings sealing even when using plumbers Teflon tape. Although i cant blame this solely on the regulator bc it could have been the tank too, but i smelled gas leaking out of the connection of both ends of the supplied gas hose and regulator so i simply changed it and put in a 3/8" quick disconnect using my own regulator with a 90 degree brass elbow attached to the unit. I used pex fittings rather than galvanized pipe connections and extended it out to the side and upward so the unit can sit on the ground and i can still reach under the shower head. one thing i would like to see changed is once the unit switch is turned off that the temp display stays active and illuminated for 10 seconds longer while the heat exchanger is cooling down as water travels through it.

As someone who loves to do product research before I buy something I felt a good review of this product was in order. First I use this as an outdoor shower and to heat a small pool. 10’x30”. I live in the PNW and summer can sometimes be hit and miss for decent weather. I have two young kids who love to swim but the above ground pool was often only good for a jump in then run to the towel shivering. After spending a lot of time reading reviews and looking at heaters I settled on the this bad boy. Set up was a little difficult the instructions are pretty basic. I had to make a couple trips to the hardware store to get the correct adaptors for the hoses. I had a sump pump that runs at around 10 PSI. Which according to the manual should be enough to run the heater. (The min PSI is 3). This set up didn’t really work very effectively it would run for a couple mins then shut off I think this is mostly due to poor water pressure. When I connect a standard garden hose which runs about 45/50 PSI the heater will burn until it runs out of propane which is awesome. Ultimately I purchased a seaflo pump that runs at around 40 PSI. The pump says it runs at 45 but I think that’s a little high. With the water set to min and the gas set to min it pumps out water around 140F. I used an entire 20lb propane tank just to see how warm I could get the pool and it got all the way up to 95F! Overall I’m pretty happy with this little unit. It took a little figuring to get it all dialed in but the pool sits at around 85 my kids spend hours in it!

I bought this shower for my off grid cabin but started using it at home just to be sure it worked before I drove 400 miles into the woods of Nova Scotia. I’ve been using this shower since July and have zero complaints. After two weeks of home use I took it to my camp and hooked it up to my 12volt pump. I showered everyday, sometimes twice, my brother and his daughter used it several times and I filled my hot tub twice. In that time I used maybe 1/4 tank of propane. I have since returned to my home and have used it to fill my outdoor bathtub several times and still no complaints. It took me all of 30 seconds to hook it up the first time and about that long to get the water temp just right.I love this thing!!

Camplux Tankless Water Heater for RV 1.58 GPM With Pump Kit

Customer photo review of Camplux Tankless Water Heater for RV 1.58 GPM With Pump Kit

If you want hot water showers, this is for you! So so SO awesome!! I installed this on my deluxe homemade shower on my trailer. I call it the shower cabana. My friends and I went to Moab,UT and camped for a week. It was so dusty and windy a few days it was unspeakably nice to take a shower before bed and go to sleep clean! Made putting on sunscreen and getting dusty bearable knowing I could take it all off at the end of the night. I performed some tests on water temperature rise and flow and short answer, buy this unit and don't look back. Read on for details...I live in Colorado and it was snowing when I fired up the Camplux for the first time. The tap water from my house was measured at 40°F or about 4°C. I fired up the water heater in summer mode in the water went to 100°F or 38°C in about 10 seconds! That is a warm hot tub temperature. It would have warmed up a little more if I didn't run out of water first. The water output from the shower was just as good as any at your house! For this first test the water flow was set to MIN and the temp to MAX on summer mode. ( testing the unit found that on summer mode 60% of the burners light and switching to winter mode lights them all. You can see this looking into the view window on the front. Also see my video review for more info.). I hooked up a full BBQ propane 20lb tank and took about 40 showers with it the week we were all camping. The propane feels 3/4 full still. Amazing. Some wanted hotter water than 100F / 38C so I switched to winter mode and turned the temp almost all the way down. NOTE: There is a big delay, about 6 seconds between adjustment and the temperature of the water coming out of the shower head. Be careful. It gets HOT fast!!!When I first turned up the temp to winter mode the water digital readout shot to 55°C or 133°F before I got it turned down. I got so hot so fast it Almost burned my hand! After using this heater I have you doubt I could take freezing cold water and take a comfortable shower. I'm glad I got the bigger unit as you can always turn the temperature down but you can never make it hotter than the maximum. I have read some reviews on trouble with the battery box, but so far mine has been trouble free. I spent a couple hours routing the plumbing and getting everything just so before my test. The one major thing I did I got from one of the reviews on Amazon and that is to put a 90° All valve on the water intake line just prior to the heater. This is the easiest way to turn the heater on and off and I highly recommend it. Getting this heater up and running was so easy. Once all the plumbing and gas connections were complete, I fliped the toggle switch underneath to on, hit the switch for the water pump electricity, and the propane fired right up. It worked the first time, and every time there after flawlessly. I recommend the flow jet RV water pump. It's One of the recommended water pumps when you look at the heater on Amazon. Or just do a search for flow jet water pump. It should run you about $45. It's perfectly matched for this heater. The gallons per minute on the water pump are about equal to the 2.6 gallons per minute of the heater at 50 PSI. Just to make sure you get an in-line water strainer for the system.

FAQ

The essential type (AY132 & AY132B) does not draw water by itself as it does not have a built-in pump. You will need a pressurised water source to feed water into the unit. Consider our Complete Pump Pack

To drain the device properly, please open the drain stern at the bottom right of the water heater, turning in a counter clockwise direction. Disconnect all incoming and outgoing water lines to ensure proper drainage from the water heater.

As long as you have good water supply.

Camplux Camper Kit has an adjustable water flow rate between 2.5-6 LPM (0.6-1.6 GPM). So, if you want a 5-minute shower, you will use between 12.5-30 litres (3.3-8 gallons) of water.

The unit was designed for portable outdoor use. It is splash-proof and can manage a little drizzle, however, prolonged exposure to rain/water will damage the internal components. We recommend our Pro Series which can install a weather-proof rain cap and has larger flow rate (from 1.58 to 5.28 GPM).

It uses gas to heat up water and can run off 9kg (20lb) BBQ gas bottles for 16 hours of continuous use.
