I built an outdoor shower/doggie wash station and my partner and I absolutely love it. 😊 Something special about showering outdoors. The dogs aren’t nearly as thrilled. 😂

We had one of these for several years go out on us recently. This one replaced it and is working great. Happy with our purchase. I could see a lot of different uses for this from camping to off grid use. Anyone looking for an easy way to heat up some water should consider one of these. Doesn't use much propane from our experience.

So... we knew when we got it that performance at higher elevations might be iffy, but we got it anyways 'cause hubs really doesn't like cold showers when dry camping. We used it for five days at 10k feet elevation and 50-55F temps in the early evening and it worked great!

Shipped on time. Small and light weight. Worked perfectly right out of the box. It runs the hot water for my shower and sink in my bus conversion. I’d recommend this for tight fitting places. Also can be vented outside easily.

Updated 4th of July 2020: Upgrade to 5 Stars; After used for few weeks. It works perfectly without problems. The other brand would shut off when it's windy, but not Campus. Appears to be much better quality. The shower head has a much better shut off control knob. I be happy if it last 5 seasons.The previous brand(Ec#@temp) that I had, which only last 1 season. I kept it inside during winter. Smoke came out from the unit during second season.Cost $20 more is worth it.

We are building a house and needed hot water for dishes and showers. This little hot water heater is amazing and heats the water quickly! Had to turn it down because it got too hot. Everything was included in the box to set up (minus the DD batteries and propane). I would definitely recommend and buy again!

Hi there!I'm a Maine Guide and Purchased the Camplux Pro 1.58 GPM Tankless Propane Water Heater along with the Camplux JK-3206P 12V Water Pump 6L/Min 65 PSI High Pressure Caravan Boat Gas Hot Water System this past September for a guided a moose hunt. There were four of us on this hunt, our 2 sports, the camp owner/ cook and myself planning on being there for up to 10 days. This September was very warm in the North Maine Woods for this hunt with temps in the mid to upper 70's. As you can imagine a shower was a welcome thing at the end of the days. The water heater and pump performed fabulous and supplied us with a hot shower in the cool evenings. I look forward to more trips being and being able to have a hot shower in the middle of nowhere!

I bought this tankless heater due to the good reviews and the price. On May 22 our home burned down leaving us homeless other the a camper we had in the back yard for when we had sleepovers. The camper is not hooked up to any sewer line so running water to it would do us no good. It is going to take 3-4 months to get the house livable, since I have outdoor skills, I turned out BBQ area into a wall in shower and a place to do dishes. I am soooo impressed with this tankless heater! Never run out of hot water, the water stays at a nice warm temp and it was easy to hook up. We love it so much we are gonna get a larger unit for the house. Plus now when it's all said and done, I have a new addition to take camping with me♥️ I am a lady and haven't had to call tech support for nothing, definitely worth the money♥️

4 stars because it showed up damaged, external dent on the bottom (pictured) ended up working fine though. Maybe a little better packaging? called in and tech support handled it fine, said I could send it back if it needed up not working after opening. I used this heater to fill a 5,200 gallon pool. Our tap water is very cold, about 45 deg F. and is not swimmable at that temp and would take all summer to warm up up here in Alaska. I pretty much torture tested this thing on the first filling. Used up 6, 5 gal bottles of propane and ended up with a full pool and water about 75 deg F. worked excellent. The 20 minute safety timer was a little annoying but we just set a timer and switched it back on after it shut off. It ran pretty much continuouse all day long with no problems. Also put in an outdoor shower and it supplies that with excellent hot water. Currently I ordered a pump that can recirculate the water from the pool to the heater, it’s a 4.9 gpm at 60 psi. If you want a poor mans pool heater set up this is it! I can raise the poool temp about 4 deg F with a 5 gal bottle of propane on a 5200 gal pool. Filling it from empty I can take 45 deg tap water and turn it into 5200 gal of 75 deg water with 6, 5 gallon propane bottles.(a metric I wish I had before ordering) I will probably order another one of these heaters for next year so I can double my BTU input. Some comments asked about heating pool water and the effect on the longevity of the heater... I do see some crystals forming probably from the chlorine being heated, but at the comparative price of a pool heater, even if I have to buy one of these every couple years I’m coming out ahead $$$ wise. I’m handy and can probably flush it with some serious scale remover and restore it to full flow, if flow gets impeded, which it has not been to date. Over all I must say I’m impressed with this little unit for the price and the unusual application I purposed it for, which has worked out wonderfully.

I have used this for my daily showers in hot or cold weather for the last 18 months.The good:- Good and hot showers down to just above freezing temperatures- Has proven reliable- D Cell batteries have only needed replacement once- Easy to install- 20 lb tank lasts about 2 months even with multiple people taking hot showers dailyCould be better:- Fahrenheit temperature indication would be nice for us Americans. But hey I never had any shower temperature indication ever before in my life.- Due to constant exposure to steam and moisture (in a contained shower) the lower surface and lower mount points are beginning to rust.- A seasonal temperature adjustment switch would be nice to allow for a lower heat setting. I have found that summer showering can result in either too cold showers with the heater completely off or too hot of a shower with the heater at lowest setting.Tips to the user:- Flush the unit with vinegar periodically in order to avoid scale buildup. I had to do so just after a year of multiple daily showers. Water flow became erratic and temperature would climb due to restricted water flow. I performed my flushing with a diaphragm style water pump.- Install an inline filter (SHURFLO 255-313)- I would recommend installing a waterproof switch to disable the water heater if needed- I would use silicone sealant to seal the battery compartment (I have had a few instances of the device not turning on due to corroded batteries).- Drain the water heater by disconnected inlet and outlet hoses during freezing weather.

This was an amazing water heater for our outdoor shower. We loved how it showed the temp, the quality of water pressure and everything. It went above and beyond.However, after only a month or two, now it’s kind of broken. The temp reader doesn’t work. It reads 120-140 degrees F when the water feels around 80. (To be specific, it reads 122 at room temp water aka 65-75 degrees F) It doesn’t stay consistently warm anymore. It heats up but occasionally while we shower, we suddenly get super cold water from the flame dying. It also doesn’t get as hot as it used to or as quick as it used to.The shower head started leaking from the off/on button so we tried to change the shower head. We changed the batteries in case it was low but that didn’t fix our heating or temp reading issue.I love this product but it’s a bummer what happened and I can’t seem to find a reason for why these specific issues are happening.EDIT:Customer service got to me so quickly and immediately offered a replacement. I appreciate it so much. I’m not sure if mine was a fluke but I still recommend this to others who are interested. The fact that customer service was so easy to contact and give a solution makes this worth it for me. Like I said, this is an awesome product. Sucks mine just went wonky

Everything is great. I even forgot to cover it one night and it poured for an hour. Next morning it fired right up. Just maybe think about adding a few more feet to the hose that connects to the shower head. It’s too short and I shouldn’t have to buy an extension. A couple more feet would be perfect. And if it was a bit more flexible. I’m not complaining. I love this thing.

This Camp lux replaces the 5 year old CampLux. Our plumber removed and replaced it. All went well and we are back to using our outdoor shower and kitchen sink with hot water. I love my outdoor shower!

Love that it heats water in an area with no power. Shower hose attachment is too short and very flimsy, like a toy. Also didn't include correct fittings to attach a standard garden hose to unit so had to buy it elsewhere. But the hot water part? Super. I hope it lasts!

We got this for camping.It arrives needing minimal assembly.It comes with directions that are clear and easy to read and understand.It seems to be well made.The unit itself feels solid and sturdy.The hardware all feels durable.The mount is strong and holds very tight.All the parts fit together correctly.There were no leaks.To test this out we attached the mount and connected the propane.Then used one of our solar power stations to supply the 12DC power.It worked exactly as expected.We had hot water in about about minute.We got this for showers, but realized it can be used for dishes and any other hot water need as well so we would buy this again.

I cannot overstate the excellent customer service I received from Camplux when the water heater stopped functioning shortly after the Amazon return period.All emails and inquiries were promptly answered and they sent a replacement unit to the requested address quickly and with minimal hoops to jump through.I've had no issues with the replacement unit since received.

It took longer than expected but probably had to do with shipping issues. I reached out to Camplux and they were very responsive and got us our shipment as well as communicated throughout. Then we discovered the threading on the shower head connection was defective and they immediately sent us a new one which we received just two days later. Their customer service is going to ensure we are able to use our outdoor shower for years to come. Very good product too! No complaints.

I have 10x10x6 foot deep concrete pool / hottub. Tapped off hose fitting from the pool pump, now its a heater no issues yet. Garden hose valves are key when working on it. Does not seem to use alot of propane. Hope to add some psi to it by running a 1.5 inch pvc line to it, then pipe in a new fitting. have spare jets in the pool, hope to tap the out to it.

Exhaust is slightly larger then standard 3 inch piping and too small for 4 inch piping. Cannot be replaced without significant, warranty breaking work. Can be used with heat rated PVC and PEX. Works very well. Excellent pressure with the included pump. Recommend using solar rechargeable 12v battery for pump. The Coleman solar panel trickle charger with 12v battery and cigarette lighter connection works well. Comes with integrated on/off switch that can be used for the pump.

Awesome!I did not use the directions for hook up. So easy and no issues. Package included every fitting and washer I needed. I did use tape on all threaded parts. I had hot water running in about 45 mins.(Warning!) The hot water can reach scolding temperatures. Adults should be present when shower is use by children.)Heater is hooked to a hydrant and propane tank.Instant hot water.I have been taking 20 minute showers everyday twice a day since delivery. I have used 20% of 15lb propane tank.My opinion, AWESOME!!I have the unit set to 113 which is perfect for the outside wash station.Update 11/2021 awesome item, Unless your an idiot like those who post less than 5 stars! Take your time, relax and understand tankless water heaters will be effectived by inlet water temperature and air/ground temperature. So, it is almost impossible to maintain a consistent temperature between usages. Even if, like some who use the system for what is not designed to do you will have to monitor the temperature. Do not be stupid, set the temperature walk away and believe it will be consistent. Idiots. Change of weather here. Shower time temperatures vary every day. Turn on gas, turn on water and notice where the temp is. Adjust a little and ENJOY! No different than your furnace, have to adjust ths thermostat. This product is rock solid! Easy ro drain when temperatures reach freezing weather. Again, if your a idiot don't make a purchase. If you have just alittle bit of commonsense this product will never let you down.I have read many reviews and most must have been written by dem idiots!
